New To Action Rifle/Pistol

10 Week PBYG Action Pistol & Rifle Course    

Cost: $115 course fee

Age: 4th-12th grade

                                          4th & 5th grade only shoot rifle,                6th-12th grade can shoot both.

Begins January 7, 2021              Ends  March 18, 2021

No class on March 11th

Course Description- ​

New kids- This is a rimfire action pistol & rifle course shooting steel targets.  PBYG has established a Scholastic Action Shooting Program Team that each athlete will have the opportunity to join.  Fourth & fifth graders are only allowed to shoot rifle.  Sixth grade & older are allowed to shoot pistol and rifle.  New kids will be taught from step one.  They do not need prior experience, but they need to be able to follow instruction and participate in a safe manner.

Equipment- PBYG has been blessed with a few generous donations and grants and will be able to supply pistol equipment if needed in this course.  If an athlete is 6th grade or older and has a .22 pistol that fits the course criteria, they may be cleared by the head coach to use it during the course.  The 4th & 5th graders will need their own semi-auto .22 rifle (Ruger 10/22 is a good example).  If not having the correct equipment is the only thing keeping a kid from registering, please contact us to discuss options.

Ammo: -If an athlete is using our club gun, they MUST purchase the proper ammo from PBYG at approximately                             $3.50+ tax per box of 50. 

                 -If an athlete is using his own gun, he/she is welcome to provide their own ammo, but must be approved by the head coach before purchase.
